From Surigao del Sur in Mindanao, Jhon Clyd Talili emerged as the grand champion of “Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids,” edging out four fellow grand finalists in the singing competition’s grand finals in It’s Showtime on June 10.
He impressed the hurados and viewers with his performance of “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing” and garnered the highest average score of 89.90 percent from the combined judges’ scores and madlang people’s text votes.
As the “Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids” grand champion, he won P1 million, a house and lot, and a negosyo package.
He beat contenders (second placer) Keifer Sanchez, who received P200,000 and (third placer) Mackie Empuerto, who took home P100,000. Fourth placer Sheenna Belarmino and fifth placer Francis Concepcion were given P50,000 each.
