Around 120 residents of Navotas will benefit from the city government’s free skills training this month.
The training includes hair and make-up services, manicure and pedicure with foot spa, hair cutting for men and women, and bangus deboning, with each category accommodating 30 participants.
“Having additional knowledge and skills, aside from the education one gained from formal schooling, provides an individual more opportunities to succeed in life,” Mayor John Rey Tiangco said.
“This is why we in the city government continue to push for more projects and programs that would equip Navoteños with more skills that would help them secure gainful employment or start a business,” he added.
Slots are still available for Navoteños who want to undergo the trainings, except for the hair and make-up service.
Hair and make-up classes have started today and will end on June 7.
Meanwhile, trainings for manicure and pedicure with foot spa will be on June 8-9 and 19-23; haircutting for men and women, June 26-30 and July 3-4; and bangus deboning, July 5.
