"Fight for your country."
This is the message of President Rodrigo Duterte to government troops when he visited the Second Mechanized Infantry Brigade in Iligan City on Friday afternoon.
"It is time for victory," he told the soldiers.
He also guaranteed that he alone will answer to whatever consequences that will result from his declaration of martial law in Mindanao.
"On the ramifications of martial law, I and I alone am responsible," he said in his short speech.
He just cautioned the military against incurring collateral damage wherein civilians would be injured in battle.
"If people are against us, mahihirapan tayo. We must contain the firefights among combatants," the Commander in Chief said.
