GENERAL TRIAS, Cavite—The local government of General Trias City will honors 333 distinguished graduates on its 58th Gawad Parangal on May 3, Wednesday, at the General Trias Cultural and Convention Center in Barangay Sampalukan here.
Dr. Ireneo Lumubos, chairman of GenTri Doctor’s Medical Center, will be the guest of honor and speaker of the program.
Andrilyn Fresa, who finished summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in human resources management from ISHRM School of Cavite, will be the receiving the Gawad Labong together with 22 other awardees in that category.
City Mayor Antonio “Ony” Ferrer, Cavite 6th District Rep. Luis “Jon Jon” Ferrer IV, and Team GenTri officials will lead the awarding cerermony of Gawad Vibora, Gawad Salgado, Gawad Mojica, Gawad Labong, and Gawad Grepo, awards which started in 1959.
Earlier, around 33 companies and nongovernment organizations joined the city’s cleanup drive and tree planting program.
Volunteers cleaned a portion of the Ilang Ilang River and picked up tons of garbage. They also planted hundreds of narra, mango and guyabano seedlings along the riverside.
Also present in the activity were Vice Mayor Morit Sison, Cavite Councilorís League Federation President Kerby Salazar, and Councilors Pafoo Lozares, Gary Grepo and Hernando Granados.
