THE PNP Responders desire to win just once more so that, for the fourth time, they will attempt to clinch a championship in the league of public servants.
The Responders, however, admitted this will not be easy as they will play two-time champion Judiciary Magis in a do-or-die game at the UNTV Cup Season 5 Semifinals on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Pasig City Sports Center.
“Mag-a-adjust kami kasi definitely mag-a-adjust din sila. Dadagdagan pa namin ‘yung depensa at mag-iiba kami ng adjustment sa kanila,” PNP Responders Head Coach Ernie Sta. Cruz said.
Last Sunday, the Responders took a 25-point win against the Magis, 92-67.
The Judiciary Magis are gearing up to match PNP’s speed.
“Nagawa naman kaya lang sobrang pagod na rin, kailangan resistensya pa rin. Siguro dapat ma-control namin ‘yung fast break at shooting nila. Kailangang talunin para makabalik kami sa finals,” Judiciary Magis’ Joey Yabut said.
In the second game, the BOC Transformers will try to bounce back against the Malacañang Kamao, which handed them a 99-88 beating last Sunday.
“Kung paano kami magkaroon ng good start sa game, ‘yun ang kulang namin. So titingnan namin kung ano ang solusyon diyan, hopefully, ma-correct naming ‘yun,” BOC Transformers Head Coach Kenneth Duremdes said.
