Surigao City experienced five aftershocks on Tuesday following the magnitude 6.7 earthquake that rocked the area last week.
At about 3:15 am, residents felt a magnitude 3.7 tremor.
At past 4 am, a magnitude 4.9 quake occured.
The second incident lasted for about 10 seconds.
Just before 5 am, three more minor earthquakes jolted the city.
Meanwhile, Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial says, CARAGA Regional Hospital sustained heavy damage during last Friday night’s magnitude 6.7 earthquake.
She says, the structural damage sustained by the hospital has been estimated at P 7 million.
The Department of Health has sent doctors to earthquake victims.
It has also provided two water treatment facilities.
