The first KPOP show in the Philippines of 2017 is coming to town this March, featuring distinguished KPOP acts such as, AOA, BTOB, B.A.P, B1A4, and KPOP superstars CN Blue, SHINee and PSY of Gangnam Style fame.
The 2017 Global Peace Concert One K in Manila is happening on March 2 at the MOA Arena at 7 p.m.
In an effort to seek global support for unification, the One-K Global Campaign Organizing Committee, consisting of 850 domestic NGOs including Action for Korea United (AKU), started the civic-led unification movement One-K Global Campaign in 2015. AKU distributed a campaign song, titled “One Dream, One Korea” sung by 28 top K-pop singers.
The group organized aunification –themed concert, attended by various K-Pop idol groups and artists, was held last Sept. 10, 2015 at the Sangam World Cup Stadium in Seoul, South Korea, drawing attention from young South Koreans all over the country.
This year, the group is set to expand its campaign on a global scale by collaborating with internationally renowned producers such as Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis and American singer-songwriter, Peabo Bryson and various acts from South Korea to produce the “One K Global Campaign” song.
After the release of the said single, the global tour will kick off in the Philippines this March, followed by the United States, China, Japan and other nations.
