Power Distributor Meralco announces a reduction on its customers’ electricity bills this month.
The cost of power will go down 27 centavos per kilowatt hour (kWh).

For households consuming 200 kWh each month, this will translate to a decrease of P 54 in their bills.
For those who are consuming over 300 kWh, the cut is about P 81.
For those who are using over 400 kWh per month, their bills will be P 108 less than the regular amount.
Meralco cites a decrease in the generation charge as among the reasons for the price movement.
Due dates will also be reset for January bills.
