The Special Board of Marine Inquiry led by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) held a meeting on Tuesday morning to make decisions on the search for MV Starlite Atlantic and its crewmembers.
The ship sank off the coast of Tingloy, Batangas on December 26, 2016 during the height of typhoon ‘Nina.’

18 crewmembers remain missing.
One crewmember died while 16 others were rescued.
The Board has decided to issue a Notice to Mariners as it seeks help in locating the ill-fated vessel and its crew.
It has also asked the assistance of mapping agency, the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA).
