Transformers, Kamao stay unbeaten in UNTV

UNTV Cup spectators witnessed a championship-level, hard-court battle between former defending champion Judiciary Magis and three-time runner-up PNP Responders in Sunday’s main game of the 2016 UNTV Cup.

In the last 33 seconds of the ballgame, the PNP Responders were ahead by three points until Magis big man Don Camaso hit a shot from downtown to force an overtime period at 70-all, before the Judiciary eventually pulled off an 82–80 win.

Chester Tolomia was hailed as the Best Player of the Game with 23 points, 8 in the overtime period, to go with 6 rebounds and 2 assists.

The Judiciary Magis now have a 3-1 record, while PNP has a 3-2 slate.

Action between the BOC Transformers and the NHA Builders was another thriller at the Pasig City Sports Center, with the Transformers pulling off a 77-75 victory – their sixth straight win in as many games.

Meanwhile, the Kamao’s tough offense was led by one of the hailed Best Player of the Game in Christian Luanzon with 17 points, 9 rebounds, an assist and a steal as he helped Malacanang defeat the MMDA Black Wolves, 72-55, for a 5-0 mark.

His co-awardee in John Michael Jimenez provided relevant production both in offense and defense department.
