A total of P3.3 billion worth of counterfeit products were seized by the National Committee on Intellectual Property Rights (NCIPR) from January to September this year.
During the 6th Philippine Anti-counterfeiting and Piracy Summit at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel Monday, Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines director general Josephine R. Santiago said bulk of the amount were fake watches and apparel amounting to PHP2.0 billion.

The nine-month value for confiscated fake goods was higher than the amount of seized products for the full year of 2015 at P2.0 billion.
