UK’s most talked about TV show, The X Factor, is back. And this year’s series sees the return of some favorite faces as rock royalty Sharon Osbourne, pop sensation Nicole Scherzinger, chart maestro Louis Walsh and The X Factor creator and music mogul Simon Cowell are reunited on the judging panel.
They are joined by the nation’s favorite TV host, Dermot O’Leary, who is back to guide viewers through all of The X Factor action as well as providing hopefuls with those much-needed ‘Dermot hugs’.
Also making a welcome comeback for this year’s series are the intimate room auditions where aspiring stars will find themselves face-to-face in front of the judges in a very personal setting.
If contestants impress the judges in the audition room, they stand the chance of securing a place in the next stage of the competition at Bootcamp. Here the remaining hopefuls will perform for the judges again, with a choreography challenge and of course the all-important performance challenge where they will be grouped together to sing in lines.
Then, once the judges have made their deliberations and have been given their individual categories, it’s every act for themselves, with the return of the dramatic Six Chair Challenge. Here, for the first time in the competition, the hopefuls will have to impress a live audience of thousands as well as the judges to win one of the six sought after spots at each Judges’ House.
With the finalists chosen at Judges’ Houses, the search for the nation’s next singing sensation gets serious as the Live Shows begin.
