Simon Lin, President of Huawei Asia-Pacific, highlighted Huawei’s commitment to digital talent development during the summit:

“At Huawei, our digital talent program in the Asia-Pacific region is built on three key pillars: Partnership, Commitment, and Youth Empowerment. These principles have driven us to develop over 200,000 digital talents through initiatives like Huawei ICT Academy in more than 310 universities, Tech4City competition, and this Digital Talent Summit. We are committed to fostering future leaders of the Asia-Pacific digital economy and, together with our partners, we will continue building a bigger stage for young talent to thrive with technology.”

Following the summit, the students participated in an immersive tour of Huawei’s innovation hubs in Shenzhen and Dongguan on September 24 to 27. The tour included digital learning sessions on cutting-edge ICT technologies driving the future of tech.

The participants also competed in the Tech4Good program where they proposed technological solutions to real-world problems.

At the program’s closing ceremony held in Shenzhen, Philippine Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Jaime A. FlorCruz, praised the achievements of the students and expressed his appreciation for programs that encourage innovation and creativity among the region’s youth.
