The SAG1 Dragonboat Team delivered outstanding performances at the 6th Guam International Dragon Boat Festival, held on November 16-17, 2024, at Matapang Beach in Tumon, Guam. Competing against top teams from Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, and local crews from Guam, SAG1 demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork.
Over the two-day event, SAG1 achieved remarkable results. On Day 1, they captured gold in the 400m mixed standard and silver in the open small boat categories.
The momentum carried into Day 2, where the team clinched gold in the 200m women’s small boat, silver in the mixed standard, and bronze in both the men’s open small and mixed small boat events.
These accomplishments reflect SAG1’s hard work, dedication, and determination to excel on the international stage. The team expressed gratitude to their families, supporters, and sponsors, emphasizing their commitment to continuing success in future local and international races.
