Telco’s roaming services expand to Canada, Australia

Globe Telecom has expanded its GoRoam service to include Japan, Canada, Vietnam, and Australia, enabling Filipino travelers to stay connected abroad at rates similar to local SIM packages.

The expanded service builds on Globe’s “Roam Like a Local” feature, already available in destinations like Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, UAE, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and the United States.

“This is a significant change for Filipino travelers, saving them time and money,” said Paula Rivera-Castillo, Globe’s Head of International Business. “With GoRoam, they can now enjoy local data rates and keep using their Globe SIM in popular destinations without hassle.”

The new GoRoam offers include 10GB for 30 days in Japan at P1,600, 5GB for 10 days in Vietnam at P800, 10GB for 30 days in Australia at P1,000, and 10GB for 30 days in Canada at P 2,000.

Globe has also enhanced data options for existing packages in other regions, such as 3GB for 5 days in Taiwan at P600, 5GB for 10 days in Hong Kong at P800, 10GB for 30 days in the UAE at P1,000, and in the USA, 20GB for 15 days at P2,000 or 30GB for 30 days at P3,000.

Travelers can activate GoRoam via the GlobeOne app, which allows subscription up to a year in advance and includes data usage tracking features.
