The Pitmaster Foundation will provide P20 million to the government to boost its campaign to encourage people to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
“We will turn over the said funds to the national government for the purpose of encouraging people to get inoculated,” said Pitmaster Foundation Executive Director Caroline Cruz.
“We can see the efforts of our government to get as many people vaccinated and we want to help encourage those who are still hesitant to get the jab through a cash reward system,” she added.
According to Cruz, it was Charlie “Atong” Ang, chairman of the board of Lucky 8 Corporation which owns Pitmaster Live, who gave the order to allot P20 million as the company's contribution to the government’s vaccination drive.
“Getting everyone vaccinated is the only way to control the spread of the virus,” she said.
