Together with Team Aksyon at Malasakit, Mayor Oscar "Oca" Malapitan and Congressman Dale Gonzalo "Along" Malapitan led the Groundbreaking Ceremony last Thursday for the renovation and beautification of the park in GSIS Hills, Brgy. 164, Caloocan.
The new park will have a children's playground, manmade lagoon, green house, jogging path, bike lane, and walking lane. It also has an activity and picnic area for senior citizens.
This project will serve as the fourth park built by the current administration of the Caloocan City Government under the leadership of Mayor Oca Malapitan.
“Ipinursigi nating maumpisahan ang pagpapagawa ng parkeng ito para sa ating mga kabataan at senior citizen. Matagal silang hindi nakalabas nang dahil sa pandemya. Makatutulong ang mga kagaya nitong open spaces para sila ay makapaglibang nang ligtas,” said Mayor Oca.
According to the Mayor, the new park is targeted to be completed and opened to the public before the end of his term in May 2022.
