Mangaldan, Pangasinan Mayor Marilyn DG Lambino received an award from the Department of Health (DOH), through its Center for Health Development 1, as a champion of Disaster Risk Reduction Management on Health (DRRM-H).
The recognition was given as part of this year’s observance of the National Disaster Resilience Month.
The town also received first aid kits and supplies for the Mangaldan Municipal Health Office (MHO).
Lambino thanked the hardworking men and women behind DRRM-H of Mangaldan who tirelessly work amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Their passion and commitment to serve our community is very laudable. We achieve this because of them,” Lambino said adding that her top priority during her term is the health aspect.
The mayor added that the award will serve as an inspiration and challenge to further enhance and strengthen the town’s disaster response services and programs that are related to health issues.
The MHO aims to continue to bring closer to the community the services that are appropriate in response to health needs, particularly in the disaster response.
