Rizal 2nd District Rep. Fidel Nograles on Thursday filed his certificate of candidacy for reelection and vowed to further extend service and assistance to the residents of Montalban.
“What we have started is good. We aim to be even better and now we can focus more on the town of Montalban. Tuluy-tuloy lang po tayo sa serbisyo, Forward Now tayo hanggang dulo,” said Nograles.
Nograles introduced and sponsored the redistricting measure for the second district of Rizal that eventually became Republic Act 11533.
He acknowledged that through the help of Rizal Governor Nini Ynares, and his colleagues in Congress, he will be able to concentrate his projects and services in Montalban, while two more congressmen will represent the town of San Mateo and the other southeastern rural towns of Rizal.
“Even with limited resources for such a big and populous district, we are able to implement several projects for the people. Imagine what more we can do now that we have more representation and budget allocation,” he added.
Two of the biggest infrastructure projects of Nograles are the Northern Tagalog Regional Hospital and the Rizal-Bulacan Inter-Provincial Road.
He explained, “The first one is a very important public health project as we are still responding to the pandemic while the second enables us to quickly recover from the economic effects of COVID-19. We want to be with the people of Montalban as we slowly but surely rise up from this situation.”
Nograles also provided, among others, financial assistance to his constituents especially during the pandemic.
“We help people with whatever we have. We assist those who are sick with medical assistance, our young students with scholarships, and the unemployed and displaced workers with livelihood programs. We shall continue this, and we will not falter in our commitment to be of service to our people,” he said.
