Parks will be seeing action for the 2021-2022 season, with the squad signing him up in their Asian special quota.

“We are pleased to announce that we have signed Bobby Ray Parks Jr. from the Philippines for the B.League 2021-22 season. Ray will be registered as the Asian Player Quota. His contract will become official as soon as he gets his medical clearance,” the Diamond Dolphins said in their Twitter statement.

Parks used to play in the Philippine Basketball Association with the TNT Tropang Giga. His contract with TNT expired after the 2020 season.

In March 2021, Parks said  he will not play  in the PBA for the 2021 season, citing personal reasons that he will be tending to his family.

With the move, Parks has  join joined in the B.League, Kiefer Ravena, who recently inked a  contract with another first division team, the Shiga Lakestars.

The 27-year-old Ravena will suit up with the Lakestars once he is done with his commitment with the NLEX Road Warriors this season.

There are now six Filipinos playing Japan, with Thirdy Ravena (San-En NeoPhoenix) being the first.

The others are Javi Gomez de Liaño (Ibaraki Robots), Juan Gómez de Liaño (Earth Friends Tokyo Z), and Kemark Carino (Aomori Wat’s), who is in the league’s second division.
