Serbian team takes Animam in Euro league

Former women’s collegiate cage standout Jack Animam is going places.

The 6’2” Animam, who played for the National University Lady Bulldogs back in college, has turned  pro in Europe, signing up with Serbian team Radnički Kragujevac.

Suiting up with the Serbian squad came months after she ended her stint with Shih Hsin University in Taiwan.

Animam led them the NU Lady Bulldogs to five championships, before helping Shih Hsin get one title in Taiwan’s University Basketball Alliance.

“We hope that she brings it back to us. We hope that Jack will be there always to represent the flag and country,” said Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas Women’s program director Patrick Aquino in a statement.

The Serbian team, which is coached by Nenad Milovanović, finished eighth place last season with a 7-15 slate.

Held annually, the Serbian league starts in September and ends in April.

Animam spent three months in the United States preparing for her stint with the Serbian team, under coaches at EastWest Private.

“When I was doing workouts here, we really worked hard with my midrange shot and my ballhandling,” said Animan in a statement.
