The popular action role-playing game by MiHoYo took home yet another award last June 10.
Genshin Impact was one of the applications in the iOS platform that won in the annual Apple Design Awards.
The award in visuals and graphics was shared with the sleep scales app, Loóna.
The game was mainly praised for its “heart-pounding battle scenes and far-reaching landscapes push the visual frontier for mobile gaming.”
The 2021Apple Design Awards gave recognition to the 12 “best-in-class apps” developed worldwide that bring innovations through “bold, creative, and distinctive ideas,” according to Apple.
Susan Prescott, vice president for Apple’s Worldwide Developer Relations added: “This year’s Apple Design Award winners have redefined what we’ve come to expect from a great app experience, and we congratulate them on a well-deserved win.”
To date, Genshin Impact has won three awards across different platforms since its release, namely Google Play Best Game of 2020 and the TGS Media Awards 2020 public poll both in Japan, and the iPhone Game of the Year in 2020 by Apple. It has also been nominated in several categories of The Game Awards last year.
It can be noted that Genshin Impact has a growing mobile player base in the Philippines as well.
According to mobile game trends tracker Sensor Tower, the mobile version of the game consistently ranks in the top 100 applications downloaded for free in the iTunes Store and is also included in Google Play Store’s top free downloaded apps in the Philippines.
Genshin Impact is available free for download for PC, Android, iOS, and PlayStation platforms. A Nintendo Switch version is reportedly in the works as well.
