WorldRemit, a leading global cross-border payments company, expanded its long-standing tieup with BDO Remit, the remittance service brand of BDO Unibank Inc., the country’s biggest lender in terms of assets led by the Sy family.
Through the strengthened partnership, recipients of money transfers in the Philippines can now receive payment straight to their US dollar account with BDO Unibank or for US dollar cash pick-up at BDO Unibank branches, BDO Remit counters inside the branches of The SM Store and SM Business Services and Villarica Pawnshops.
“Customers can now send money through the WorldRemit app or website directly to BDO Unibank US dollar accounts in real-time or for cash payout through our branches. This will also make it easy for our customers with US dollar accounts to top-up their savings,” said Genie Gloria, senior vice president and head of BDO Remit. BDO Remit has been in partnership with WorldRemit since 2014.
