Mariveles, Bataan—The local government units of Mariveles and Bagac, Bataan province, have finally agreed to settle their eight-decade-long boundary dispute.
“We have already agreed to settle amicably our boundary dispute,” said Councilor Tito Catipon.
“We have been conducting a series of meetings with our Bagac counterpart.
“We at the Sangguniang Bayan Mariveles led by Vice Mayor Lito Rubia have been pushing for the settlement of the boundary dispute.”
“We recently went to Bagac for the joint meeting for the finalization of the boundary dispute”, said Councilor Ronald Arcenal.
“The camp of Bagac agreed for Aglaloma beach to become part of Mariveles”, he said.
Catipon said the disputed area covers 349 hectares between Barangay Biaan, Mariveles, and Quinawan, Bagac.
