A safer, world-class abode with LG

Many people are now using the home as an office, a restaurant, a gym, due to stay-at-home orders in place in many countries. But this “new normal” can affect the air quality inside the home in a bad way.

Cooking indoors, which has become a part of most people’s daily routine since the pandemic began, can generate air pollutants such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide. Home workouts, which have increased drastically with gyms closed, can release high levels of carbon dioxide.

LG is responding with technological innovations to help prevent these with HVAC solutions designed to tackle air quality issues brought about by socially-distanced lifestyles.

Getting rid of bacteria, invisible dust

LG’s air purification kit, the LG dual vane cassette – an indoor 4-way ceiling cassette-type unit – ensures safe air with an extensive purification function. The kit removes bacteria and ultrafine dust. The filter can be easily detached and cleaned with water for efficient and cost-effective semi-permanent usage.

LG’s ThinQ mobile app (Inset photo) can be used to control and monitor air quality status in real-time. A small LED display located on the indoor unit, which uses different colors to indicate the level of indoor particulate matter, provides a fast, convenient way for users to view air quality status.

“HVAC providers need to take into consideration how the new home-centric lifestyle is impacting air in the indoor spaces where so many people now live, work and play,” explained Sungjae Kim,  LG Philippines’ managing director. “HVAC solutions can contribute to making life at home more enjoyable and, importantly, healthier.”
