Effortless style that blurs the line between work and leisure, home and office, indoor and outdoor is on the rise. Functional items and flexible styles that can take one from the city to the countryside or adapt to today’s work practices are favored.
Japanese fashion retailer Uniqlo thus launches a collection for the spring/summer season that heavily features fabrics and textures for more active lifestyle and are easy to care and easy to integrate into everyday routine.
The new collection highlights dresses in different colors, silhouettes, and materials; wrinkle-resistant rayon blouse in various sleeve lengths and necklines; U crew neck T-shirt made of sturdy heavy cotton cloth material made from low-count yarn and compact knit; lightweight and stretchy jeans that employ the technology from Toray and Uniqlo; improved Smart Ankle Pants with two-way stretch fabric and resin on the center pleats to help keep the pants crisp, even after washing.
Also part of the transitional pieces are the Oxford shirt made with 100 percent cotton Oxford material and special yarn; Extra Fine Cotton a basic, yet stylish shirt made of premium material; and Kando pants and shorts made of a unique material that uses a thread developed together with Toray.
