American outdoor sports gear brand The North Face injects luxury into every adventure with its collaboration with Italian label Gucci.
To promote this new partnership, Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele has conceived a campaign shot by Daniel Shea, set in the Alps. In stills and video, as well as through content created for TikTok, the audience is led through a trip to the great outdoors with a group of Gucci-clad hikers camping by the lakes.
The special cross-category collection for men and women consists of ready-to-wear, soft accessories, luggage and shoes, as well as tents and sleeping bags.
The North Face x Gucci Collection is in line with the commitment of both brands to eco-sustainable activities. The luggage contains ECONYL— a nylon fabric sourced from regenerated materials such as fish nets, carpets, and other scraps.
Meanwhile, the garment and carrier bags, boxes, and pouches have been designed to reduce the environmental impact at every step of creation. Larger items come in shopping bags and cotton covers without boxes.
Additionally, the color palette was inspired by the ‘70s and curated from The North Face materials library. Archival fabrics have been partially incorporated into the collection to give them a new life.
