The Pasay City government on Monday launched an online service for the application and processing of business permits.
Dubbed as Pasay E-Business Go Live, the system enables contactless processing to lessen face-to-face transactions of city hall employees to residents processing their permits, which are potential means of spreading the coronavirus disease.
Mayor Imelda Rubiano said the new system will also minimize the number of people coming to city hall as the renewal of the business permit can already be accomplished by using a computer with internet connection.
She said the use of the app is also geared to make the permit renewal process more efficient and faster.
“This is one of our various measures to assist the business sector in our city recover from the effects of the pandemic. And we are doing all of these while ensuring that minimum health and safety standards are followed,” Rubiano said.
“With this system, processing of business permits will be more convenient, easier and faster,” she added.
The E-Business app and system will be primarily administered by the Business Permits and Licensing Office of the City Treasurer’s Office.
Using the app, the applicants are required to have Electronic copy of the Previous Mayor’s Permit, Electronic copy of Last Year Financial Statement (if applicable), and Electronic copy of the Authorization Letter of Owner/President of Company with valid ID (If the one applying is a representative).
“I am encouraging all business players in Pasay to maximize the use of this online process for their convenience and safety,” said Mayor Rubiano.
