Chairman Danilo Lim of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said another U-turn slot along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue will be closed next week in line with the EDSA busway project aimed to provide faster mobility for the commuting public.
“Beginning Monday, Oct. 26, the Edsa U-turn slot near Panorama Building and Waltermart Munoz will be closed,” said Lim.
He said affected motorists may take the Quezon Avenue Service Road U-turn slot (northbound) or Dario Bridge U-turn slot (southbound) as alternate route.

The MMDA planned to close all U-turn slots along EDSA to give way for the smooth operation of EDSA Busway project. It initially closed two U-turn slots situated on North Avenue near Trinoma Shopping Mall and the one in front of Quezon City Academy.
Lim said MMDA personnel installed directional signages within the vicinity of the affected U-turn slots to notify motorists of the closure.
Other U-turn slots to be closed are as follows: De Jesus, Gen. Tinio, Malvar, and Biglang-Awa in Caloocan City; Balintawak, Kaingin, Landers, Dario Bridge, Walter Mart, Timog, and Santolan in Quezon City.
In July, the government began operating the EDSA Busway project to complement the operations of Metro Railway Transit line 3 and its bus augmentation program.
The project aims to help transport commuters in the National Capital Region amid the general community quarantine (GCQ) still being enforced to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease.
It will also cut travel time from Monumento to Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange from the usual 2 to 3 hours because of traffic, to just 45 minutes to 1 hour.
