Balanga, Bataan—The paper of Dr. Hermogenes Paguia, Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Vice President for Research, Extension and Training Services, is a finalist in the Development Category of PCAARRD Best Research and Development Paper Awards 2020.
Paguia’s paper is titled “Improvement of Mango Production through Science and Technology Innovations and Support Mechanisms for Capacity Development in Bataan and Zambales.”
In the letter of Philippine Council for Agriculture and Aquatic Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) Executive Director Reynaldo Ebora, he told BPSU President Dr. Greg Rodis that Paguia is invited to present that paper in the National Symposium on Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (NSAARRD) online on December 1, 2020.
The paper was entered to compete at national level when it was awarded regional champion Developtment Category in Central Luzon Agriculture and Aquatic Resources Reseatrch and Development Consortium (CLAARRDEC) Best Research and Developtment Paper Awards 2019.
BPSU is a member of CLAARRDEC.
Organized by PCAARRD yearly, NSAARRD recognizes the outstanding contributions of individuals and institutions in improving the state of R&D in the country for the interest of the agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources sector.
Rodis has been pushing for sustainable innovations and researches of the university to reach end users, saying: “The innovations and researches we are doing in BPSU will mean nothing if they don’t.”
BPSU is known to have a dynamic research and extension office.
