“Planting vegetable can be a source of income, or means to protect the environment, to some just a way of exercising, and to others, just to spend time,” the àgriculture office also said in a statement

The city government launched  a program feting  community farmers dubbed “Farmer of the Week”.

The city’s top two leaders want to recognize the contribution of local farmers to  community development and  inspire  local residents to go into farming.

Members of Sangguniang Panlungsod are fully supporting the city agricultural program.

“The city government is thankful that local residents turn to something productive like vegetable farming during  this time of COVID-19 pandemic”,  the City Agriculture Office said.
