Michelle “Karate Hottie” Waterson tries to bounce back from back-to-back losses when she faces Angela “Overkill” Hill in a women’s strawweight bout in the main event of UFC Fight Night on Sunday September 13 at UFC Apex, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Waterson lost a close split decision to Carla Esparaza at UFC 249 last May, 9 and a more convincing unanimous decision loss to Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC Fight Night 161 held October last year.
In the co-main event unbeaten Ottman Azaitar takes on Khama Worthy in a lightweight bout.
Thiago Santos’ return inside the UFC Octagon was supposed to be the main event for this fight. But his opponent Glover Teixeira tested positive for Covid-19 forcing the reschedule of their fight to October this year.
Other fights in the main card include Roxanne Modafferi taking on Andrea Lee at women’s flyweight; Ed Herman against Mike Rodriguez at light heavyweight; and Billy Quarantillo versus Kyle Nelson at featherweight.
In the preliminary card Matt Schnell battles Tyson Nam at flyweight; Julia Avila faces Sijara Eubanks at women’s bantamweight; Matt Frevola takes on Roosevelt Roberts at lightweight; and Bobby Green battles Alan Patrick at lightweight.
Other fights in the preliminary card include Alexandr Romanov taking on Roque Martinez at heavyweight; Frank Camacho aganst Brok Weaver; Bryan Barberena facing Anthony Ivy at welterweight; and Sabina Mazo against Justine Kish at women’s flyweight.
