Mariveles, Bataan—To recognize their heroism and sacrifices, health workers and frontliners were given food by members of Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Mariveles on Monday, on the celebration of National Heroes Day.
Vice Mayor Lito Rubia led Councilors Harry Golocan, Susan Murillo, Ronald Arcenal, Angel Sunga, Joey Carandang, Tito Catipon, Turing Isip, ABC President Venancio Villapando Jr., SK Municipal Federation President Vincent Charles Banzon, and IP Municipal Representative Manuel Pacayay in going around town to deliver the goods.
“In celebrating National Heroes Day, it is only fitting to show our profound gratitude to our frontliners who are in fact our modern-day heroes,” the Mariveles council said in its Facebook account.
“We give thanks to the sacrifices of our health workers and frontliners who risk their lives to save ours,” the councilors added.
