Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia (right) rides a pump boat that brought her to the seas off Barangay Tan-awan in Oslob, Cebu to experience the famous whale shark or “butanding” interaction on Saturday. It signaled the re-opening of Cebu’s tourism industry after more than four months under COVID-19 lockdowns. Joining Garcia were Oslob Mayor Jun Tumulak, Cordova Mayor Techie Cho, government officials and Philippine Coast Guard personnel.
