Violeta Mendoza, 69, poses in her toga as part of the Class of 2020 of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education major in Special Education. Mendoza, now a ‘lola’ or grandmother, is also a scholar of the Muntinlupa city government under the Iskolar ng Bayan program. Mayor Jaime Fresnedi lauded Mendoza’s hard work and perseverance and hoped residents will look at her as an inspiration to overcome challenges in life.
