“We support Navoteños who persevere in their studies so they could fulfill their potential and help their family and community in the future,” Mayor Toby Tiangco said.

“Despite the health crisis we are facing, we want our students, as well as our teachers, to continue learning and pursue their dreams. Let us not allow this pandemic to hinder them from achieving their aspirations in life,” he added.

The city government gives high school scholars P18,000 per academic year for book, transportation, and food allowance.

NPC scholars get P22,000 per academic year for tuition, book, transportation, and food allowance. Scholars of other colleges or universities are given P262,000 for the same.

Furthermore, teacher-scholars receive P75,000 every academic year for their tuition; book, transportation, and food allowance; and research grant.

Aside from academic scholarship, the city government also offers scholarships to students who excel in sports and in arts, and to children or relatives of the Top Ten Outstanding Fisherfolk.
