Seventy-eight more residents of Parañaque City tested positive for COVID-19, bringing to 789 the total number of cases recorded in the city as of Tuesday.
The city government released the latest count after conducting
COVID-19 rapid testing during a three-day calibrated lockdown in two densely populated streets in Barangay San Dionisio.
Dr. Darius Sebastian, chief of the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit reported that 78 out of 1,689 residents who underwent rapid testing have tested positive for the deadly disease.
Of that number, 44 were found asymptomatic, according to Sebastian.
The streets in Tramo I and II in Barangay San Dionisio were placed under calibrated lockdown last June 4 upon recommendation of the City
Health Office for having the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the entire city.
