The World Health Organization on Monday said the new coronavirus epidemic had "peaked" in China but warned that a surge in cases elsewhere was "deeply concerning" and all countries should prepare for a "potential pandemic".
The epidemic has killed nearly 2,600 people and infected some 77,000 people in China, with new cases and fatalities emerging in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia in recent days.
Moreover, the deadly coronavirus epidemic could put an already fragile global economic recovery at risk, the IMF warned Sunday, as G20 financial chiefs voiced "real concern" over its economic ripple effects.
WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus even said that the peak in China occurred between January 23 and February 2, and the number of new cases there "has been declining steadily since then.
But this does not mean that things would go back to normal in an instant. The effects are still being felt, especially by learners in disease-stricken areas in China.
Due to the new coronavirus disaster in China, specifically, the epicenter in Wuhan City in Hubei province, the lives of many families have been affected. One can imagine the changes the people of China, and the rest of the other nations in the world who are now battling the spread of the disease, have to go through, especially the young kids.
These children don't enjoy simple activities like going to the park, mall, or seeing their friends anymore. Thankfully, even with the many precautions to take, like strictly staying indoors, learning is still the top priority for these learners.
"If your students are in the outbreak area (Hubei province) or their daily lives are affected by this disease, please kindly give them your care and blessing in writing and language during class," said Acadsoc, an advanced online education platform.

The teachers readied 500 spare boxes from their overseas office to ship them to their head office in Shenzen.
"My students, we are with you," was the collective message the team conveyed to their students in the East-Asian nation. "We'll be there with you because you were with us, too," they add signifying support to their students who are also affected by the impact of the 2019 novel coronavirus or COVID-19.

Furthermore, the teachers relay that even with the ongoing spread of the virus and the many restrictions on the daily lives of the people in China, especially Wuhan, students from the said city are still optimistic and passionate about learning new things.
