President Rodrigo Duterte has postponed anew his one-on-one interview with his spokesman and chief legal counsel Salvador Panelo yesterday as he was “not feeling well.”
The President on Tuesday was scheduled to discuss national issues in a televised têtê-a-têtê with Panelo at 5 p.m., which was supposed to air over state television network PTV-4.
“We are sorry that you had to wait for sometime for this têtê-a-têtê with the President. However, the President is presently under the weather,” Panelo said.
“He had several meetings yesterday and he had to pore on many documents, hence he doesn’t feel well today (Tuesday),” he added.
The Palace official said the interview would be rescheduled “perhaps next week.”
“We will let you know as soon as we know the specific date,” Panelo said.
This was the second postponement of the interview which was initially scheduled on Jan. 22 but was canceled then due to “pressing family matters.”
