Pacio 101 percent confident in upcoming bout

Reigning ONE Strawweight champion Joshua Pacio said that he is 101 percent confident in his second title defense at ONE: Fire & Fury to be held at the MOA Arena this Friday.

"Now my confidence is oozing. It's at 101 percent. To my kababayans, be there on Friday," Pacio said.

Pacio's challenger is Brazillian jiu-jitsu former Strawweight champion, Alex Silva, who said that he is ready to face the crowd-favorite champion Pacio.

"I know I will fight your hero, but that's how it works. Thank you for your support," Silva said."I am ready to put my skills up to the last, with all my heart, with all my spirit. 

Fellow Team Lakay bets are also pumped up for the upcoming bout and are ready to face their opponents. 

Lito Adiwang said that he is ready to put on a show against Pongsiri Mitsatit of  Thailand. 

"I will show on Friday a different skill that I have learned from my teammates. See you on Friday," Adiwang said. 

In the female category, Gina Iniong, also from Team Lakay, will go head-to-head against Asha Roka of India. 

"This Friday night, I will try very hard,"  Iniong said. 

In other fights, former ONE Lightweight champion, Eduard Folayang will fight French Pieter Buist, who is currently on a six-fight winning streak, while flyweight Grand Prix finalist, Danny Kingad will face China's Xie Wei, who currently is on a five-fight knockout winning streak. 

Pacio invites Filipinos to watch his upcoming fight because the roars and cheers of the home crowd energize him. 

"Since I fought in the Philippines I have been undefeated. That's because I feel the energy of the Filipino crowd," Pacio said.
