The Cajun-style fried chicken from Louisiana has finally arrived in the busy city of Makati.
After its opening in Pasig City, followed by launches in Manila, Alabang, Cubao, Mall of Asia, Eastwood, and Ortigas, Popeyes finally opened its first outlet in Makati, its tenth in the country.
“We are extremely grateful for the support we have been continuously receiving ever since we opened our first store at Arcovia City in Pasig. Now, we have 10 branches spread across Metro Manila and we are pleased to finally bring Popeyes to Makati,” said Kuya J Group marketing director Ton Gatmaitan during the store opening,
The newest branch of Popeyes offers its full Southern-style menu, as well as Philippine-exclusive items, including Popeyes’ juicy Cajun-style fried chicken, honey biscuits, Cajun fries, shrimp and fish burgers, and Popeye’s Spaghetti.
To celebrate its opening, today’s hottest personalities had their lunch during the event. Guests included Ruru Madrid, Jane Oineza, Alyssa Valdez, Majoy Baron, and Kim Fajardo.
“The chicken, is so good. It’s very crispy, and at the same time, very juicy. It’s a kind of chicken that I can eat everyday. The biscuit gives the perfect and right amount of sweetness that I’ve been looking for. And, of course, the spaghetti [is also a must-try]!” Ruru enthused when asked of his favorites from Popeyes’ offerings.
