24th BPSF rolls out P1B aid to over 120,000 Caviteños

The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. in Cavite rolled out about P1 billion worth of government programs, services and cash aid to more than 120,000 Caviteños for the two-day event, which began on Friday.

Speaker Martin Romualdez said the BPSF, a flagship program of President Marcos, continued to provide direct services and relief to millions of Filipinos in the 24 areas that have been visited by the service caravan to date.

Caviteños received much-needed government assistance during the fair, including P451 million in cash aid and the distribution of 255,500 kilos of rice to beneficiaries across the province.

“The success of the Service Fair is an example of our unity to ensure that every Filipino feels the presence of the government,” Romualdez said.

Key government agencies, including the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), participated in the event.

DOLE’s TUPAD program provided short-term employment to many local residents, while TESDA’s scholarship program offered educational and training opportunities to Caviteños.

Romualdez reiterated the importance of unity in governance, stressing, “the BPSF is a concrete example of how we can achieve more when we work together. With everyone working together, we can bring government services to every home faster.”

He thanked local officials and representatives for their support in ensuring the event’s success.

Among the key programs highlighted were the Commission on Higher and Technical Education (CHED) Tulong Dunong scholarships, which were awarded to students, and DSWD’s Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) payouts, which benefited 70,000 individuals.

These payouts will continue across Cavite, with more scheduled to receive assistance in the coming weeks.

The Cavite BPSF is part of a nationwide initiative with plans to visit all 82 provinces. Romualdez said 23 previous BPSF events have delivered over P13 billion in aid to 2.8 million families.

“We will not stop until every Filipino feels the presence of our government through services that directly impact their lives,” he assured.
