Philippine and US navies earlier this week engaged in discussions about future joint exercises and their shared commitment to regional peace and stability.
Navy Spokesperson Commander John Percie Alcos said this transpired during the visit of new U.S. Naval Attaché to the Philippines Captain Anthony Saunders in their headquarters.
“We look forward to working closely with you during future exercises and in strengthening mutual support for regional peace and stability,” PN Vice Commander, Rear Adm. Jose Ma. Ambrosio Ezpeleta said.
Captain Saunders’ career includes roles as Commander of the 2515th Naval Air Ambulance Detachment, Commanding Officer of HSC-21 “Blackjacks,” and Commanding Officer of the Fleet Coordinating Group in Yokosuka, Japan.
He has also served in operational assignments with HC-6, USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), and Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 26.
