Thousands of solo parents in Caloocan City will be receiving P1,000 every month from the city government starting this September as declared by Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan during his third State of the City Address (SOCA).
To qualify, the beneficiaries must be registered as solo parents in Caloocan City and must be earning an amount equivalent to or below minimum wage.
Malapitan emphasized that while the city government under his administration will continue to protect the interests of all his constituents, the needs of those belonging to the most vulnerable sectors must be acknowledged and prioritized first.
The mayor likewise noted that existing programs that focus on long-term benefits to solo parents will continue on top of the newly launched regular monthly financial assistance program.
