Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said the law must take its course following the recent raid on the Davao City compound of religious leader Apollo Quiboloy.

Addressing the raid, Bersamin affirmed that Quiboloy, like any other individual, is subject to the rule of law.
“The law must take its course,” Bersamin said in an interview on Monday.
“He is answerable to the law, and the law must take its course. Meron namang process diyan (There is a process in place),” he added.
The raid, conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP), is part of ongoing investigations related to Quiboloy’s alleged involvement in human trafficking and other crimes.
The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been seeking his extradition following charges that include sex trafficking and coercion of minors.
Bersamin did not provide further details on the raid or the ongoing investigation but reiterated the government’s stance on upholding legal processes.
Quiboloy, the founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), has denied the allegations and claims he is being persecuted for his religious beliefs.
On Saturday, around 2,000 cops trooped to the KOJC compound in Davao in a bid to arrest the pastor, however, the PNP has failed to capture Quiboloy.
