President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s approval and trust ratings slightly declined less than a week before his third State of the Nation Address (SONA), the latest Pulse Asia survey shows.
The President scored a 53 percent approval rating for his performance as of June— a two-point slide from his 55 percent rating in March.
His trust ratings also fell by 5 percent, going down to 52 percent in June from 57 percent in March, the same survey indicated.
On the other hand, Vice President Sara Duterte fared better in both categories, with here approval rating slightly increasing two percent over a one-month span.
Her Approval rating went up to 69 percent in June from 67 percent in March, while here trust rating remained unchanged at 71 percent.
A separate Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) survey indicated that “appreciation continues to be the prevailing sentiment” among the two highest-elect officials.
Meanwhile, the overall ratings of House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez went up by four percent as shown by Pulse Asia’s June survey.
The speaker’s approval and trust ratings climbed to 35 percent in June form only 31 percent during the May survey.
