Club Gymnastica’s 43rd anniversary draws MILO backing

THE PhilSports Arena in Pasig City came alive with vibrant energy as gymnastics training club Club Gymnastica celebrated its 43rd anniversary with its annual recital, themed “Sayaw Pilipinas.” The event saw over 200 participants from various Club Gymnastica venues show their skills in traditional and modern Filipino dance and gymnastics performances, and was attended by parents, the Philippine Sports Commission, the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines, representatives from the local government of Pasig, and Club Gymnastica alumni.

Just as well, the celebration was supported by MILO® Philippines and served to highlight their deep-rooted partnership with Club Gymnastica.

For decades, MILO® has served as one of its steadfast advocates, fostering the development of aspiring gymnasts and promoting an active and healthy lifestyle among Filipino youth.

This year’s event was particularly special as it coincided with MILO® Philippines’ 60th anniversary, marking six decades of unwavering dedication to promoting sports and an active lifestyle in the country. MILO® has been at the forefront of championing sports development, encouraging young Filipinos to engage in physical activities and excel in their chosen sports.

During the welcome remarks, Nestlé Philippines’ Senior Vice President of Beverages and Confectionery Veronica Cruz expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for the event as she shared, “This year holds special significance for us as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of MILO®, marking six decades of unwavering dedication to promoting sports and an active lifestyle in the Philippines.”

Cruz also shared the brand’s belief in sports being a great teacher as it instills grit, resilience, determination, and teamwork among athletes. “Through sports, MILO®, along with its partners and ambassadors, can build next-generation Champions by allowing sports to teach kids life skills and values that help them become Champions in Life,” she adds.

The event started with a spectacular parade and presentation of the Queens/Reyna Elena, followed by dynamic performances that captivated the audience, reflecting the theme “Sayaw Pilipinas” with a fusion of Filipino cultural heritage and modern athleticism.

MILO® cemented their support throughout the celebration through its sampling and selling, another testament to their commitment to nourishing champions and encouraging sports participation among young Filipinos.

The event concluded with a dynamic dance number performed by representatives from various branches of Club Gymnastica, a grand statement of its rich 43 years and more to come.
