National Housing Authority general manager Joeben Tai has recently instructed assistant general manager Alvin Feliciano to spearhead the inspection of various Yolanda permanent housing projects (YPHP) sites in Aklan and Antique in adherence to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to fast track the project completion.
“The Authority is eager to finish all the YPHP housing backlogs at the soonest possible time. We are closely monitoring the progress and immediately putting action to completely turnover the houses to the beneficiaries,” he said.
The objective of the site visits is to monitor the status of current construction in the YPHP projects and determine measures to expedite the housing turnover to the Yolanda-stricken families in the two provinces.
Included in Feliciano’s itinerary were the New Washington Housing Project phases 1-4, 6A and 6B; Olympus Residences 1 and 2; Batan Resettlement 1-4; Kalibo Town Homes; Barbaza Residences 1 and 2, and Patnongon Vista Residences.
As part of Tai’s directive, Feliciano said he held separate coordination meetings with Aklan Gov. Jose Enrique Miraflores, New Washington Mayor Jessica Regenio-Panambo, Patnongon Mayor Johnnyflores Bacongallo and Barbaza Mayor Gerry Necor to tackle the importance of the support and participation of their local government units in the realization of the housing projects.
