The Turf Company marks milestone with golf tournament

The Turf Company celebrated its 35th year with a golf tournament participated in by over 100 golf enthusiasts and clients from different golf courses in the Philippines at Pradera  Verde  Golf  &  Country  Club in Lubao, Pampanga. 

Known as the country’s leading  provider of  reliable end-to-end-solutions for management and maintenance of golf courses, sports-themed estates, resorts and recreation facilities, hospitals and commercial establishments, The Turf  Company staged the event to celebrate the milestone as well as a thanksgiving to their customers for their trust and support for 35 years.

It featured exciting rounds of golf as well as valuable prizes.  Upon registration, door prizes  were given to participants, and after  a hearty breakfast, the tournament started with the  ceremonial  tee-off    led  by   Juanchit  Jose,  president and COO of The Turf Company;  Robbie  Leviste, president  of Summit  Point   Golf  &  Country  Club;  Vicente  Santos Sr.,  chairman   of  Sta. Lucia   Land   and    Jaime  Jose. Sportsman Vince Hizon and his wife, Patricia, were the hosts.

The event concluded with an award ceremony for the winners who were: Jude  Eustaquio (Lowest Gross);  Romulo  Soria (Lowest Net);  Eric  Gozo (Class A Champion);  Dean Joson  (Class A Runner-up);  Danny  Medina (Class B Champion);  Vince  Fragante (Class B Runner-up);  Ryan  Santos (Class C Champion); Gene  Reyes (Class C Runner-up); Emilie Gozo ( Champion, Ladies Division);  Marilyn Reyes, (Runner-up Ladies Division);  Bayani  Tecson (Champion, Senior Division);   and Mike  Clarke (Runner-up Senior Division).

The Fun Hole winners were Beng  Joson (Longest Drive); Gel Swiecinski (Longest Drive, Ladies Division);  Rex Goquingco (Most Accurate) and Louie Geronimo (Nearest to the Pin). Jose surprised   everyone  with  an added  award  of  “Most Exercised Player”   which was given to the player with the highest score.  

Danny Medina  of  Riviera  Golf  &  Country  Club  won  the grand raffle prize which was a TaylorMade Qi10  Driver. The other raffle prizes were 3  smart  LED  TV 43” and  55”, TaylorMade Spider  Tour  Putter, Caddytalk Cube Range Pathfinder, TaylorMade True Light  Cart Bag,  TaylorMade  MG4 Wedge  and  Impulse PS 300  Spinning Bike.

Jose said The Turf Company’s customers can expect more in the years to come . “We are incredibly grateful to them for their loyalty through the years. We wouldn’t be where we are now as the industry leader without them. Hence, aside from the flagship and the best brands that we carry like Toro and Club Car, we will continue to enhance our portfolio of golf maintenance products and allied services. We will proactively seek the latest and most innovative technologies and solutions to meet our customers’ needs and expectations,” he said.

The Turf’s  latest project is the Hann Reserve golf resort in New Clark City, a  450-hectare project  accredited by The PGA of America. Originally, this will have three golf courses (Nicklaus, Choi and Faldo), hotels and residential area. “We are also working with clubs that are currently doing renovations and other companies who are in the planning stages of building new golf courses,” Jose said.
