The facility will offer simulated real-world manufacturing environments through lab experiences, integrating concepts like the internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and digital manufacturing processes.

The signing ceremony, held at the Bosch Rexroth Regional Training Center in Singapore, forged a formal partnership between the DTI and Bosch in pursuing science, technology and innovation (STI)-driven industrialization.

The DTI’s STI strategy prioritizes the widespread adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, which encompass automation, data exchange and manufacturing advancements, alongside continuous upskilling and reskilling of the Filipino workforce.

The collaboration is expected to contribute to the modernization of the Philippines’ manufacturing sector, enhancing its competitiveness and paving the way for a more sustainable future.
